You have reached an indie devs webpage. Welcome!
I started making games about 1 year ago because I wanted to learn more about programming. I had already had experience making art and music from my previous hobbies. Then programming from school. However I never had a large programming project to really get involved with outside of school. With my previous hobbies and a lack of a large scale programming hobby, it made sense to be able to pull everything together into one art form.
So, here we are...
I started learning how to make games in Unity. I did the big mistake that everyone makes, by starting with an RPG.
I didn't get far in that project. However, I made tremendous progress learning about saving data, character movement, the different work flows and game theories/design that are needed to understand what goes into making a video game.
My current project very much in development. It is a 2D Platformer and there are some progress pics on my twitter.
My first start to finish project was a game jam where you recycle trash on the beach. There isn't really much to do here. It has a gameplay loop, it is riddled with bugs, there isn't really a satisfying ending, but it's mine and I learned a lot during this process.
